KuriusHacks
KuriusHacks is a 48-hour hackathon that was created by Kurius with the goal to encourage participants to work on impactful projects that can benefit society. We want to enable more students to have tangible impact by leveraging the power of technology for social good.
The event was ENTIRELY ran on our Discord Server which you can join here. We will be having our announcements, hosting workshops, and declaring the hackathon winners over there! You will also have access to a network of mentors to help you on your project during the event, so make sure to join after you register. See you there!

KuriusHack Prizes
250$ Donation
The first place winners will be able to donate 250$ to a charity of their choice, as well as receiving a certificate recognizing their accomplishments during the hackathon.
100$ Donation
The second place winners will be able to donate 100$ to a charity of their choice, as well as receiving a certificate recognizing their accomplishments during the hackathon.
50$ Donation
The third place winners will be able to donate 50$ to a charity of their choice, as well as receiving a certificate recognizing their accomplishments during the hackathon.

What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is where you code your crazy ideas to reality! It is an event where beginner and experienced hackers gather together to work on innovative solutions to real-world problems. KuriusHacks is a hackathon that focuses on social impact and encourages participants to work on projects that can help vulnerable communities such as the homeless population.
What is the theme of the hackathon?

Who can attend?
Students are welcome to contribute and participate in KuriusHacks.
Do I need to know programming to participate?
No, not at all. Hackathons are the best place to bring together diverse skill sets to solve a common goal. People from all backgrounds including designing, marketing, analysis and entrepreneurship join forces together to visualize a product. We highly encourage you to meet and collaborate with other participants to pitch your idea.

Where is KuriusHacks happening and how long is it for?
Keeping your safety and comfort in mind, KuriusHacks will be conducted virtually to freely facilitate innovation. This hackathon will last around 48 hours.

Is this a team event? What if I do not have a team?
Yes, it is a team event but if going solo is your style, we are all for it. You can also meet new people and find yourself a team through our discord servers before the Hack begins.
Are there any prizes?
You will be able to donate to a charity of your choice (400$+ total) should you win the hackathon! There is also an EchoAR sponsored prize where you will be able to win a 50$ amazon gift card.
